The rest of the league had time to spare on Graham Mertz; the Dolphins did not wait, grabbing him 70 spots ahead at No. 252. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

The Paul Jr. steal is the beam this whole class leans on. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

They will answer for taking safety early while edge rusher went begging. On the needs board they went 7 of 8, with quarterback the one that mattered most.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
