Draft Grade — Chiefs
Overall B
ValueB NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
A sensible, unshowy class lands the Chiefs a B.

Somehow the biggest item on the list survived the weekend. The Chiefs never addressed quarterback, and it is the kind of gap that lingers. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.

Landing Warren that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.

Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick31 Rnd1 Tyler Warren
In pick 31 they get a matchup weapon at tight end, outstanding value to boot. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick63 Rnd2 Omarr Norman-Lott
Omarr Norman-Lott at slot 63 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick66 Rnd3 Donovan Jackson
They paid sticker price for Donovan Jackson in the 66th pick, and that is fine. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick95 Rnd3 Andrew Mukuba
Andrew Mukuba at the Round 3 slot is money in the bank, a safety taken below his worth. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick133 Rnd4 Jake Majors
A tidy little value on Jake Majors in pick No. 133, a step better than break-even. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick226 Rnd7 Ja'Quinden Jackson
Ja'Quinden Jackson at Round 7, Pick 10 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick251 Rnd7 LaJohntay Wester
They did well to land LaJohntay Wester in No. 251, just ahead of his grade. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick257 Rnd7 John Williams
Good price on John Williams in the 257th overall pick, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
