The rest of the league had time to spare on Hayden Conner; the Dolphins did not wait, grabbing him 34 spots ahead at Round 7, Pick 15. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.

They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. However the rest shakes out, McCord at that price is a win they earned.

They will answer for taking safety early while edge rusher and linebacker went begging.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
