The Giants spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Phil Mafah, the No. 167 name on the board, in pick No. 248. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.

Reaching for Travis left real value on the table behind him. The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
