The Giants got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the B-.

The Giants did not so much draft Barryn Sorrell as overpay for him, 223 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Bassa. Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere.

For all the activity, cornerback went untouched, which is hard to explain. Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
