You can draft well and still miss the point. The Lions did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to safety, which was the need that mattered most. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.

If Hemingway pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it. A fair-value weekend of trading, no edge to be found.

Good work on the whole, with safety the one box left unchecked.
