For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Bills walked out of the weekend still thin at quarterback, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons.

They are betting Roberts proves the room right and everyone else wrong. A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly.

Job largely done: linebacker settled and 6 of 9 of the wish list covered. The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
