A costly weekend of dealing drags the Patriots to a D-.

The Elijhah Badger selection is the head-turner. The Patriots reached 256 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered. Too much went sideways, and the D- is the honest tally.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, edge rusher very much included.
