For all the boxes ticked, the Texans skipped the loudest one: wide receiver is exactly as bare as it was. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

Getting Johnson where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. Reaching for Benny left real value on the table behind him. The roster is better shaped than it was, with running back chief among the fixes.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

Good work on the whole, with wide receiver the one box left unchecked.
