Quarterback settled, Nussmeier in the fold, and a B- for the Raiders.

After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Raiders committed. Garrett Nussmeier is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

Reaching for Green left real value on the table behind him. On value alone, Wilson makes the weekend a net positive. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick7 Rnd1 Garrett Nussmeier
In the 7th overall pick they get a franchise quarterback. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick39 Rnd2 Nyck Harbor
A tidy bit of business in slot 39, where Nyck Harbor graded well above the range. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick78 Rnd3 D'Angelo Ponds
The board had cheaper options than D'Angelo Ponds at No. 78, and it noticed. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick107 Rnd4 Taylen Green
Taylen Green at Round 4, Pick 5 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick135 Rnd4 Raylen Wilson
Raylen Wilson in pick 135 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick146 Rnd5 Isaac Smith
Isaac Smith is a better player than the 146th pick suggests; smart patience, rewarded. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick185 Rnd6 Shamar Easter
A quiet steal in pick No. 185: Shamar Easter for less than the market said. The roster fit checks out.
Pick220 Rnd7 Dijon Johnson
Value with a capital V on Dijon Johnson in the Round 7 slot, a genuine coup. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
