Draft Grade — Falcons
Overall B+

Nobody dealt better than the Falcons this weekend: B+.

Whoever sat across the table from the Falcons should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. They banked enough surplus on Louis to cover a lot of smaller sins.

The cost of the Baker reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick16 Rnd1 Carnell Tate
In pick 16 they get a matchup problem out wide. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick48 Rnd2 Joshua Josephs
Joshua Josephs in slot 48 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick152 Rnd5 Kyle Louis
Value with a capital V on Kyle Louis in pick No. 152, a genuine coup. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick226 Rnd7 Tosh Baker
Tosh Baker in Round 7, Pick 10 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick248 Rnd7 Johntay Cook II
They let Johntay Cook II come to them and pounced at No. 248. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
