Call it larceny. Aidan Chiles sat on the board until pick No. 221, and the Colts did not need to be asked twice.

The offensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. They will need Stowers to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Anthony Hill Jr. in the 8th pick is fair value, right on his grade. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick40 Rnd2 Eli Stowers
The board had cheaper options than Eli Stowers at the 40th overall pick, and it noticed. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.

Nice patience on Michael Taaffe, who had no business lasting to Round 2, Pick 28. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.

No drama and no debate, Will Lee III went about where he belonged in pick 108. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.

A straight-up fair deal on Antonio Kite at the Round 5 slot, value and slot in agreement. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.

They let De'Zhaun Stribling come to them and pounced at pick No. 186. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.

Aidan Chiles in No. 221 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
