The Bengals cashed the board's mistake on Bowen: B-.

The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Bengals watched Peyton Bowen slide 21 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

With offensive lineman, linebacker and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on edge rusher is the choice that costs them. A whole weekend of picks and offensive lineman is somehow still a want.

They are betting O'Neill proves the room right and everyone else wrong. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
