There is a lot to like until you notice edge rusher is still a hole. The Cardinals never got to the one that mattered most.

On value alone, Shough makes the weekend a net positive. They will need Caldwell to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Job largely done: quarterback settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered.

The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
