Best value of the weekend goes to the Broncos for Johnson: B-.

Call it larceny. Avery Johnson sat on the board until pick No. 232, and the Broncos did not need to be asked twice. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

That linebacker hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Job largely done: interior defensive lineman settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered. The skill positions did well by the weekend.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the linebacker spot they never got to.
