There is reaching, and then there is Marcus Dumervil at the 51st pick. The Broncos jumped the board by 322 and dared it to prove them wrong. It washes out to a C, no better and no worse.

The Smith steal is the beam this whole class leans on. They will regret leaving linebacker for another day if the season turns on it. Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same.

Job largely done: interior defensive lineman settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered.

If Emeka Egbuka and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
