Draft Grade — Titans
Overall C-
ValueF NeedA- TradesF FutureB-
The phones sank the Titans this weekend: C-.

The Titans looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Marcus Major at slot 103 regardless, 370 picks early. The good and the questionable cancel out to a C-.

Mbow at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Hit on James Pearce Jr. and the swing picks, and this ages a lot better than it grades today.

Pick Analysis
Pick1 Rnd1 James Pearce Jr.
They reached into another round for James Pearce Jr., and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick35 Rnd2 Quinn Ewers
Quinn Ewers in pick No. 35 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. The roster fit checks out.
Pick103 Rnd4 Marcus Major
A big swing on Marcus Major at Round 4, Pick 1, well ahead of any board in the building. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick120 Rnd4 Nick Martin
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Nick Martin. It fills a real need, too.
Pick139 Rnd5 Tez Johnson
They barely believed it either: Tez Johnson still on the board at slot 139. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick141 Rnd5 KJ Jefferson
KJ Jefferson in No. 141 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick167 Rnd5 Alijah Clark
Alijah Clark at the Round 5 slot is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick178 Rnd6 Marcus Mbow
Marcus Mbow in pick 178 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick188 Rnd6 Ty French
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Ty French well ahead of where he belonged. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
