Draft Grade — Titans
Overall C+
ValueD+ NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The Titans drew a line under the quarterback search with Sanders: C+.

Nobody else had Jam Griffin anywhere near No. 120. The Titans did, by 289 spots, and that gap is the whole story. It washes out to a C+, no better and no worse.

Getting Gillotte where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. So much rides on Shedeur Sanders that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him.

The wide receiver spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

A perfectly average weekend, for better and for worse.

Pick Analysis
Pick1 Rnd1 Shedeur Sanders
In pick 1 they get a franchise quarterback, reach and all. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick35 Rnd2 Xavier Watts
No drama and no debate, Xavier Watts went about where he belonged in the 35th overall pick. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick103 Rnd4 Jalen Travis
This one needs a full-page explanation: Jalen Travis in slot 103, miles early. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick120 Rnd4 Jam Griffin
They talked themselves into Jam Griffin at No. 120, and the board did not agree. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick141 Rnd5 Zeek Biggers
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Zeek Biggers. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick167 Rnd5 Smael Mondon Jr.
Smael Mondon Jr. in Round 5, Pick 29 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick178 Rnd6 Ashton Gillotte
Ashton Gillotte in the 178th overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick188 Rnd6 Robbie Ouzts
They reached a country mile for Robbie Ouzts at pick No. 188, and the board is aghast. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
