FutureB
The Falcons checked most of the boxes and earned a B-. The Falcons torched the value chart for Jabbar Muhammad, taking him 49 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. They banked enough surplus on Williams to cover a lot of smaller sins.
A small leak at the table, if not a fatal one. On the needs board they went 4 of 8, with offensive lineman the one that mattered most.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick Analysis
Pick33
Rnd2
Mykel Williams
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Mykel Williams in pick 33. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick46
Rnd2
T.J. Sanders
A reasonable price with a little left over, T.J. Sanders in the Round 2 slot. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick67
Rnd3
Isaiah Bond
They went early on Isaiah Bond in No. 67, and the value did not follow. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick118
Rnd4
Dylan Fairchild
They read the board right and Dylan Fairchild was the payoff at slot 118. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick192
Rnd6
Jabbar Muhammad
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Jabbar Muhammad well ahead of where he belonged. A minor itch, scratched.
