Draft Grade — Bengals
Overall

FutureB-
The Bengals robbed the room for Winston Jr.. Final grade: B-. The Bengals did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Kevin Winston Jr. fell into No. 124. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.
That tight end hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. They are betting Walker proves the room right and everyone else wrong. The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick Analysis
Pick28
Rnd1
Deone Walker
In Round 1, Pick 28 they get a load in the middle, though they paid up to get him. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick60
Rnd2
Dylan Fairchild
Dylan Fairchild in the 60th pick is fair value, right on his grade. It fills a real need, too.
Pick92
Rnd3
Kenneth Grant
Somehow Kenneth Grant was still sitting there in the 92nd overall pick, and they pounced on premier interior defensive lineman value. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick124
Rnd4
Kevin Winston Jr.
A top-tier safety at a bargain, Kevin Winston Jr. in pick No. 124, plain and simple. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick156
Rnd5
Quincy Riley
Quincy Riley at No. 156 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick188
Rnd6
Armand Membou
Armand Membou in pick 188 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick220
Rnd7
Germie Bernard
The board fumbled Germie Bernard all the way to slot 220, and they scooped it up. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
