Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Bengals came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close. The board rewarded a patient, disciplined weekend with a A-.

On value alone, Cooper Jr. makes the weekend a net positive. The Shuler pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at tight end, offensive lineman and other spots.

They will regret leaving tight end for another day if the season turns on it. Smith has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

In the end it comes back to Arvell Reese, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
