A solid, sensible weekend for the Chargers: B-. There is a lot to like until you notice wide receiver is still a hole. The Chargers never got to the one that mattered most. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.
The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but wide receiver.
Pick Analysis
Pick16
Rnd1
Colston Loveland
In Round 1, Pick 16 they get a moveable chess piece at tight end. A real need, handled.
Pick55
Rnd2
Josaiah Stewart
Josaiah Stewart in the 55th overall pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick86
Rnd3
Andrew Mukuba
Andrew Mukuba in No. 86 is fair value, right on his grade. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick124
Rnd4
Darius Alexander
A straight-up fair deal on Darius Alexander at the 124th pick, value and slot in agreement. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
