Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Buccaneers spent the 235th overall pick on Warren Brinson, a name most had 59 spots down the list. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.

Sanders falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. It is not that Bassa is a bad player; it is that the Buccaneers had louder needs to answer first. The tight end hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

The trade work was a quiet net positive.
