zgriz2008 DRAFTING FOR THESeahawks
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall
B-
ValueB
NeedB
TradesB-
FutureB-
The Seahawks kept it disciplined and banked a B-. There is a lot to like until you notice edge rusher is still a hole. The Seahawks never got to the one that mattered most.
On value alone, Watts makes the weekend a net positive. Every board in the league had Shough lower, and that gap is the story.
Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick18
Rnd1
Tyler Warren
In Round 1, Pick 18 they get a red-zone target to build around. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick50
Rnd2
Xavier Watts
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Xavier Watts in pick No. 50. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick52
Rnd2
Demetrius Knight Jr.
A straight-up fair deal on Demetrius Knight Jr. at the 52nd pick, value and slot in agreement. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick82
Rnd3
Ozzy Trapilo
Ozzy Trapilo in the 82nd overall pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick92
Rnd3
Tyler Shough
A premium they did not need to pay, Tyler Shough a notch or two before his time. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
