Restrepo should have been long gone. The Giants pounced, and earned a B+.

The Giants spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Xavier Restrepo, the No. 72 name on the board, in pick No. 198. No fireworks, but a solid B+.

For all the activity, safety went untouched, which is hard to explain. The roster is better shaped than it was, with interior defensive lineman chief among the fixes.

The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September. The back end got a real overhaul.

Good work on the whole, with safety the one box left unchecked.
