JJTheGoat79 DRAFTING FOR THEGiants

Draft Grade — Giants

FutureA
The Giants won the night they stopped Majors from sliding. Grade: A-. Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Jake Majors got past him. The Giants do not have to explain a thing at the 169th overall pick. A near-flawless weekend of work, and a A- to cap it.
Dart has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. The phones were where this weekend was really won.
A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want. Kolton Miller gives the group a proven body among the projects.
It is a haul that will look even better come September.
Pick Analysis
Pick6
Rnd1
Will Johnson
In Round 1, Pick 6 they get a press-man option on the boundary. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick34
Rnd2
Colston Loveland
The board had cheaper options than Colston Loveland at the Round 2 slot, and it noticed. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick65
Rnd3
Jaxson Dart
A real head-scratcher, Jaxson Dart in slot 65 is miles ahead of his ranking. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick73
Rnd3
Jihaad Campbell
Jihaad Campbell at the 73rd pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick104
Rnd4
Andrew Mukuba
They robbed the room for Andrew Mukuba here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick107
Rnd4
Cam Skattebo
They paid sticker price for Cam Skattebo in pick 107, and that is fine. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick131
Rnd4
Kyren Lacy
The board had Kyren Lacy higher than pick No. 131, and the wide receiver fell to them anyway. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick153
Rnd5
Cobee Bryant
Cobee Bryant at the 153rd overall pick is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick169
Rnd5
Jake Majors
You do not let an offensive lineman like Jake Majors reach the 169th pick and blink. They did not. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
