The Buccaneers bet big and early on Barryn Sorrell, 126 picks ahead of the board. Bold does not always mean right.

The Knight Jr. value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.

Job largely done: interior defensive lineman settled and 7 of 8 of the wish list covered. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
