Skattebo should have been long gone. The Buccaneers pounced, and earned a B.

The board owed the Buccaneers one, and it paid up: Cam Skattebo, the No. 110 name on the board, sitting there at the Round 7 slot like a gift left on the doorstep. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.

The Morris reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

With interior defensive lineman, cornerback and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on linebacker is the choice that costs them.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
