Larceny in slot 87 lands the Buccaneers a B, Warren and all.

The Buccaneers did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Tyler Warren fell into pick No. 87. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

The Carter pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with edge rusher, quarterback and other spots still on the board. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. Turner has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with interior defensive lineman chief among the fixes.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.

In the Round 1 slot they get a press-man option on the boundary at a price that makes it sweeter. A clean fit for the roster.

Shemar Turner in No. 153 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.

Taking Seth McLaughlin in Round 7, Pick 19 is close to grand larceny; an offensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
