Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Packers spent Round 7, Pick 41 on Sage Ryan, a name most had 65 spots down the list.

That Allar pick is the receipt they will wave around later. The trades bled value they could not afford to lose.

Job largely done: edge rusher settled and 8 of 8 of the wish list covered.

The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.
