Draft Grade — Packers
Overall

FutureD+
The Packers won the weekend at the trade table. Grade: B. Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Packers spent pick No. 223 on Zane Durant, a name the board had a full 49 spots lower. More right than wrong, and a B to match.
Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. Landing Winston Jr. that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. The offensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the offensive lineman spot they never got to.
Pick Analysis
Pick28
Rnd1
JT Tuimoloau
JT Tuimoloau at No. 28 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the edge rusher. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick55
Rnd2
Kevin Winston Jr.
The board fumbled Kevin Winston Jr. all the way to the 55th overall pick, and they scooped it up. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick87
Rnd3
Tory Horton
Tory Horton at Round 3, Pick 23 is money in the bank, a wide receiver taken below his worth. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick92
Rnd3
Nicholas Singleton
Nicholas Singleton in pick No. 92 lands just on the right side of the ledger. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick119
Rnd4
Jamon Dumas-Johnson
They will replay Jamon Dumas-Johnson at pick 119 for years; that is how good the value is. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick151
Rnd5
Davison Igbinosun
A slide stopped in slot 151, with Davison Igbinosun worth more than the price. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick183
Rnd6
Thor Griffith
They jumped the gun on Thor Griffith, taking him earlier than his grade liked. The roster fit checks out.
Pick215
Rnd7
Brady Cook
A clean, defensible pick in Round 7, Pick 23 with a little surplus value in Brady Cook. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick222
Rnd7
Jake Johnson
Jake Johnson in No. 222 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick223
Rnd7
Zane Durant
They talked themselves into Zane Durant at the 223rd pick, and the board did not agree. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
