The Packers worked the phones like thieves and earned a B+. The Packers torched the value chart for Dallas Gant, taking him 67 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. It nets out to a B+, which feels about right.
Getting James where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
They will answer for taking safety early while edge rusher, quarterback and other spots went begging.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
