Draft Grade — Packers
Overall
B-

FutureB-
A respectable, level-headed haul for the Packers: B-. The Packers treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending the Round 5 slot on Joe Milton III a full 31 spots early. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.
Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Bishop. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick28
Rnd1
Cooper DeJean
In the 28th overall pick they get a press-man option on the boundary. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick41
Rnd2
Jackson Powers-Johnson
A quiet steal in the Round 2 slot: Jackson Powers-Johnson for less than the market said. The roster fit checks out.
Pick58
Rnd2
Payton Wilson
By-the-book stuff, Payton Wilson at slot 58 squarely in line with his ranking. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick88
Rnd3
Max Melton
A slide stopped in pick No. 88, with Max Melton worth more than the price. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick91
Rnd3
Zak Zinter
Zak Zinter in the 91st pick is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick126
Rnd4
Cole Bishop
Somehow Cole Bishop was still sitting there in No. 126, and they pounced on premier safety value. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick128
Rnd4
Dallin Holker
Dallin Holker at the 128th overall pick is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. It fills a real need, too.
Pick134
Rnd4
Roger Rosengarten
A straight-up fair deal on Roger Rosengarten at Round 4, Pick 34, value and slot in agreement. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick169
Rnd5
Joe Milton III
A real head-scratcher, Joe Milton III in No. 169 is miles ahead of his ranking. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick202
Rnd6
Kendall Milton
Kendall Milton in slot 202 is fair value, right on his grade. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick219
Rnd6
Dominique Hampton
Dominique Hampton at the 219th pick jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
Pick245
Rnd7
Tylan Grable
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Tylan Grable at pick No. 245. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick255
Rnd7
Edefuan Ulofoshio
Edefuan Ulofoshio in pick 255 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It is more luxury than necessity; they were already set here.
