Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B+
ValueB- NeedB TradesA+ FutureB
The Packers fleeced the room on the phones and earned a B+.

The Packers torched the value chart for Kyle Hergel, taking him 92 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. More right than wrong, and a B+ to match.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. The wide receiver spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Oladapo at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.

Pick Analysis
Pick25 Rnd1 Terrion Arnold
In slot 25 they get a sticky cover corner. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick41 Rnd2 Edgerrin Cooper
They paid a round early for Edgerrin Cooper in the 41st overall pick, more than the board wanted. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick77 Rnd3 Mike Sainristil
No edge and no loss on Mike Sainristil in Round 3, Pick 13; it is a wash and a sensible one. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick88 Rnd3 Dadrion Taylor-Demerson
No drama and no debate, Dadrion Taylor-Demerson went about where he belonged in No. 88. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick112 Rnd4 Javon Foster
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Javon Foster. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick126 Rnd4 Isaac Guerendo
They took Isaac Guerendo at par in pick 126, which is nothing to complain about. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick135 Rnd4 Mohamed Kamara
Mohamed Kamara in pick 135 is fair value, right on his grade. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick169 Rnd5 Kitan Oladapo
A slide stopped in slot 169, with Kitan Oladapo worth more than the price. It is more luxury than necessity; they were already set here.
Pick202 Rnd6 Joe Milton III
Joe Milton III in the 202nd pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick219 Rnd6 Caedan Wallace
Caedan Wallace at the 219th overall pick is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the offensive lineman. It fills a real need, too.
Pick245 Rnd7 Jalen Sundell
By-the-book stuff, Jalen Sundell at No. 245 squarely in line with his ranking. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick255 Rnd7 Kyle Hergel
They left a pile of value on the table to take Kyle Hergel this early at pick No. 255. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
