Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The Packers cashed the board's mistake on McClellan: B-.

You build a draft on nights like this. Jase McClellan had no business being available in No. 219, and the Packers did the only sane thing and turned in the card.

A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. The Frazier pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.

Pick Analysis
Pick25 Rnd1 Kool-Aid McKinstry
In Round 1, Pick 25 they get a sticky cover corner at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick41 Rnd2 Zach Frazier
A big swing on Zach Frazier at the Round 2 slot, well ahead of any board in the building. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick58 Rnd2 Payton Wilson
Payton Wilson in pick 58 is fair value, right on his grade. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick88 Rnd3 Christian Mahogany
Christian Mahogany at No. 88 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick91 Rnd3 Mike Sainristil
Mike Sainristil slipping to the 91st overall pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick126 Rnd4 Ben Sinnott
No drama and no debate, Ben Sinnott went about where he belonged in the 126th pick. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick169 Rnd5 Malik Mustapha
Malik Mustapha at slot 169 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick202 Rnd6 Caedan Wallace
A reach for Caedan Wallace in pick No. 202; a little patience would have been rewarded. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick219 Rnd6 Jase McClellan
They barely believed it either: Jase McClellan still on the board at No. 219. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick245 Rnd7 Jalen Sundell
They took Jalen Sundell at par in the 245th overall pick, which is nothing to complain about. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick255 Rnd7 Daijahn Anthony
Somehow Daijahn Anthony was still sitting there in the Round 7 slot, and they pounced on premier cornerback value. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
