Overall B-

No fireworks, just a tidy B- for the Steelers.

The Steelers went off the board in a big way for Blake Fisher, 34 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another.

They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it. It is not that Fisher is a bad player; it is that the Steelers had louder needs to answer first.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.

Pick Analysis
Pick20 Rnd1 Kool-Aid McKinstry
In pick No. 20 they get a ballhawk on the outside. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick51 Rnd2 Zach Frazier
A conviction pick on Zach Frazier at No. 51 that the board grades a round light. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick84 Rnd3 Blake Fisher
They bypassed pressing needs at quarterback, interior defensive lineman and other spots to take Blake Fisher, an offensive lineman that was not the priority.
Pick98 Rnd3 Brenden Rice
By-the-book stuff, Brenden Rice at the 98th overall pick squarely in line with his ranking. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
