Maye is the plan now, and the Patriots grade out a B-.

The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Patriots spent their marquee pick on Drake Maye, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

Getting Phillips where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The Stover pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at edge rusher, wide receiver and other spots.

A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
