Best value of the weekend goes to the Panthers for Tampa: B.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Panthers were there to profit. T.J. Tampa, the No. 46 name on the board, should have been long gone before the Round 3 slot.

The linebacker hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 4 of 9 of the wish list covered.

The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but linebacker.

Pick Analysis
Pick33 Rnd2 Bralen Trice
Value with a capital V on Bralen Trice in Round 2, Pick 1, a genuine coup. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick65 Rnd3 T.J. Tampa
The board fumbled T.J. Tampa all the way to pick No. 65, and they scooped it up. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick101 Rnd4 Roman Wilson
Nice patience on Roman Wilson, who had no business lasting to pick 101. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick168 Rnd5 Ben Sinnott
A quiet steal in the Round 5 slot: Ben Sinnott for less than the market said. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick180 Rnd6 Justin Eboigbe
They paid sticker price for Justin Eboigbe in slot 180, and that is fine. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick222 Rnd7 Isaiah Neyor
They read the board right and Isaiah Neyor was the payoff at No. 222. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
