The Commanders bet the future on McCarthy. The board says A-.

After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Commanders committed. J.J. McCarthy is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. That Rosemy-Jacksaint pick is the receipt they will wave around later. The Commanders indulged a want in Bullard while a need in running back and interior defensive lineman stayed open.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped running back, which is a strange place to end up.

A strong weekend's work, and a rare one to find this little fault with.
