The tape said wait; the Cowboys did not. Blake Watson went at the Round 7 slot, a good 41 picks before the board was ready. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

The Johnson pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. A whole weekend of picks and cornerback is somehow still a want.

Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but cornerback.
