Draft Grade — Dolphins
Overall C+
ValueC NeedB- TradesB- FutureB-
Some hits, some head-scratchers, and a C+ for the Dolphins.

Nobody had Tahj Washington this high, and it is not close. The Dolphins reached 108 spots to get him at pick No. 243.

For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. The back end got a real overhaul.

It grades out a shrug today, with plenty of room to move either way.

Pick Analysis
Pick22 Rnd1 Terrion Arnold
In Round 1, Pick 22 they get a potential shutdown corner. More want than need.
Pick54 Rnd2 Ja'Tavion Sanders
Ja'Tavion Sanders in slot 54 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick159 Rnd5 Josh Proctor
This one needs a full-page explanation: Josh Proctor in pick No. 159, miles early. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick186 Rnd6 Marcus Harris
Marcus Harris at the 186th overall pick is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick200 Rnd6 Aaron Lewis
Value said wait; Aaron Lewis in No. 200 says they were not listening. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick243 Rnd7 Tahj Washington
A wild overpay on Tahj Washington in the 243rd pick, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
