The Panthers reached for Davis and never recovered. Grade: F. The Panthers clearly saw something nobody else did in Jordan Davis, taking him 143 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. The warnings were there, and the F is the bill.
The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. They banked enough surplus on Jones to cover a lot of smaller sins. It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.
