The Commanders let Pearsall fall and pounced. Final grade: B+.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Ricky Pearsall tumbling to the Commanders in Round 7, Pick 5 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. It nets out to a B+, which feels about right.

That tight end hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The cost of the Trotter Jr. reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered. Adding Carl Lawson by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
