The tape said wait; the Bills did not. Carson Steele went at Round 6, Pick 21, a good 39 picks before the board was ready. About as rough as the board gets, and a F to prove it.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. The Cowing value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. Spend now, pay later; the math only works if this class delivers.

In the end, a class that has to defy its grades just to matter.
