The phones sank the Cardinals this weekend: D. The war room fell hard for Tahj Washington, and it showed at pick 222: 140 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas. A D that will need time and luck to look better.
They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. They banked enough surplus on Speights to cover a lot of smaller sins.
It is a win-now wager, and the future is the stake. The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.
The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.
