Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall B
ValueB NeedB+ TradesA+ FutureD
The steal of the weekend belongs to the Ravens and Suamataia: B.

Whoever sat across the table from the Ravens should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. The bottom line is a respectable B.

On value alone, Suamataia makes the weekend a net positive. They will need Kamara to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman.

They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

Pick Analysis
Pick40 Rnd2 Cooper DeJean
Cooper DeJean is a better player than the Round 2 slot suggests; smart patience, rewarded. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick44 Rnd2 Cooper Beebe
Cooper Beebe in No. 44 is fair value, right on his grade. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick51 Rnd2 Jonathon Brooks
Jonathon Brooks at Round 2, Pick 19 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick62 Rnd2 Xavier Worthy
A clean, defensible pick in pick No. 62 with a little surplus value in Xavier Worthy. It fills a real need, too.
Pick77 Rnd3 Ja'Lynn Polk
Ja'Lynn Polk in pick 77 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick84 Rnd3 Kingsley Suamataia
Kingsley Suamataia in the 84th pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick93 Rnd3 Jonah Elliss
Nothing to complain about; Jonah Elliss went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick113 Rnd4 Mohamed Kamara
Mohamed Kamara in the Round 4 slot is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. The roster fit checks out.
Pick130 Rnd4 Josh Newton
Josh Newton at slot 130 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick165 Rnd5 Mason McCormick
They robbed the room for Mason McCormick here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick218 Rnd6 Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint
Somehow Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint was still sitting there in Round 6, Pick 43, and they pounced on premier wide receiver value. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
