The Ray Davis selection is the head-turner. The Texans reached 109 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Jackson pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at quarterback. The Gray steal is the beam this whole class leans on.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with running back chief among the fixes.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
