FutureB-
Nothing loud, just a tidy B for the Buccaneers. Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Buccaneers spent No. 95 on Ben Sinnott, a name most had 35 spots down the list. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.
The cornerback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Mahogany falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.
Good work on the whole, with cornerback the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick32
Rnd1
Chop Robinson
Chop Robinson at Round 1, Pick 32 is money in the bank, a edge rusher taken below his worth. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick57
Rnd2
Zach Frazier
They took Zach Frazier at par in pick No. 57, which is nothing to complain about. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick87
Rnd3
Trey Benson
They paid sticker price for Trey Benson in No. 87, and that is fine. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick92
Rnd3
Cedric Gray
Cedric Gray at the 92nd overall pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick93
Rnd3
Maason Smith
They left a pile of value on the table to take Maason Smith this early at the 93rd pick. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick95
Rnd3
Ben Sinnott
They reached into another round for Ben Sinnott, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick113
Rnd4
Christian Mahogany
Christian Mahogany slipping to pick No. 113 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick125
Rnd4
Johnny Wilson
Johnny Wilson in the 125th pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick159
Rnd5
Jordan Travis
They jumped the gun on Jordan Travis, taking him earlier than his grade liked. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick246
Rnd7
Tyrice Knight
They went early on Tyrice Knight in Round 7, Pick 26, and the value did not follow. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
