Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall D+
ValueA- NeedB TradesF FutureD+
The Ravens cashed the board's mistake on Rosengarten: D+.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Ravens were there to profit. Roger Rosengarten, the No. 135 name on the board, should have been long gone before pick 218. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D+ is the result.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

The Wingo reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. Spend now, pay later; the math only works if this class delivers.

Bottom line, they will be counting on several picks to beat their grades.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Rome Odunze
In slot 30 they get a No. 1 receiver, outstanding value to boot. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick62 Rnd2 Laiatu Latu
Somehow Laiatu Latu was still sitting there in pick 62, and they pounced on premier edge rusher value. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick67 Rnd3 Keon Coleman
They will replay Keon Coleman at the 67th pick for years; that is how good the value is. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick78 Rnd3 Austin Booker
By-the-book stuff, Austin Booker at the Round 3 slot squarely in line with his ranking. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick93 Rnd3 Mike Sainristil
Mike Sainristil in pick No. 93 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick100 Rnd3 Mekhi Wingo
A reach on Mekhi Wingo in Round 3, Pick 37; the board had better options right there. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick113 Rnd4 Blake Fisher
Blake Fisher at No. 113 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick130 Rnd4 Cam Hart
Cam Hart at the 130th overall pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick139 Rnd5 Isaac Guerendo
Isaac Guerendo at No. 139 is money in the bank, a running back taken below his worth. It fills a real need, too.
Pick152 Rnd5 Jaden Hicks
They barely believed it either: Jaden Hicks still on the board at Round 5, Pick 16. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick165 Rnd5 Javion Cohen
Javion Cohen at the 165th overall pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick218 Rnd6 Roger Rosengarten
Roger Rosengarten in pick No. 218 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick222 Rnd7 Jaden Crumedy
They took Jaden Crumedy at par in the Round 7 slot, which is nothing to complain about. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick228 Rnd7 JD Bertrand
A quiet steal in the 228th pick: JD Bertrand for less than the market said. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick250 Rnd7 Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint
You do not let a wide receiver like Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint reach pick 250 and blink. They did not. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
