Draft Grade — Cardinals
Overall
B
ValueB
NeedA-
TradesB-
FutureB-
Nothing loud, just a tidy B for the Cardinals. You can draft well and still miss the point. The Cardinals did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to quarterback, which was the need that mattered most. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.
Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick Analysis
Pick4
Rnd1
Marvin Harrison Jr.
Nothing to complain about; Marvin Harrison Jr. went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick27
Rnd1
Graham Barton
In the 27th overall pick they get a plug-and-play piece up front at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
